On January 5th, 2018, 119th annual archaeological meeting was held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, by organizing Archaeological Institute of America. The project of the University of Georgia – Samshvilde /Archaeological and Interdisciplinary studies/ was presented there by prof. David Berikashvili /the department of Archaeology, Anthropology and Art of UG/. The research results, newly discovered archaeological materials and project priorities were discussed there. 

It is noteworthy, that Archaeological Institute of America is world’s leading institution in the field of archaeology organizing annual meetings at the beginning of every year, where the most important projects are presented. At this point the University of Georgia is the first Georgian University that was officially invited by this institution. The huge interest and readiness to be involved in the project was expressed by academic audience after the presentation.
